Flight & Green – Junior Interactive Darts Policy
At Flight & Green, we welcome families and younger players to enjoy our interactive darts experience in a safe, controlled, and well-managed environment. This policy outlines how under-16s may participate while ensuring the highest standards of safety, supervision, and compliance.
Interactive darts at Flight & Green is provided as a social, technology-led recreational activity, overseen at all times by trained venue staff.
Age & Supervision
- Guests under the age of 16 may play interactive darts only when supervised at all times by a responsible adult (parent, guardian, or designated adult).
- The supervising adult must remain within the allocated dart lane area throughout the session.
- Flight & Green reserves the right to refuse or end junior play if supervision is considered insufficient or inappropriate.
Permitted Times
- Under-16s are permitted to participate in interactive darts up to 7:00pm only.
- After this time, Flight & Green operates as an adult-focused venue and junior participation is not permitted.
Designated Interactive Dart Lanes
- Junior and family play is restricted to designated interactive dart lanes, positioned away from the bar and primary alcohol service areas.
- Lane allocation and availability are managed by staff to maintain safety, comfort, and flow within the venue.
Equipment & Safety Standards
- Junior-appropriate darts (lighter weight / reduced impact) are provided and must be used by all under-16s.
- All players must follow Flight & Green’s dart lane safety rules, including:
- One player throwing at a time
- No running or rough play within dart lanes
- Darts must only be retrieved when instructed
- Unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated
Clear safety guidance is displayed throughout all interactive dart areas.
Staff Oversight
- All interactive darts sessions are monitored by trained Flight & Green team members.
- Staff have full authority to:
- Pause or stop play if safety is compromised
- Reallocate dart lanes
- Refuse participation where necessary
Failure to follow staff instructions may result in immediate cessation of play.
Alcohol & Safeguarding
- Under-16s are not permitted to purchase or consume alcohol at any time.
- Supervising adults remain fully responsible for the behaviour and safety of minors in their care.
- Flight & Green operates a strict Challenge 25 policy for all alcohol sales.
Licensing & Compliance
- Interactive darts is not classified as regulated entertainment under the Licensing Act 2003.
- Children are permitted on the premises in line with the venue’s premises licence.
- This policy actively supports the licensing objectives of:
- Public safety
- Protection of children from harm
Management Discretion
Flight & Green reserves the right to:
- Amend permitted junior play times
- Suspend junior interactive darts during peak trading periods
- Withdraw junior participation if required for safety or operational reasons
